Title certificates.
Motorboats
built after 11/1/72 must titled.
Registration certificates.
All vessels powered by any mechanical device capable of
propelling the vessel must be registered. Registration is not
required for Coast Guard documented vessels. Registration
certificates are issued on a three year basis.

Documented boats - Lender is secured by a preferred vessel
